Polyurethane coating or commonly referred as PU Coating, is a layer of polyurethane layer applied onto a surface to protect against weathering, abrasion, corrosion etc.
PU Coatings are relatively durable compared to its epoxy counterpart due to its glossy surfaces upon application. Given the durability and to a certain level of elasticity, polyurethane surfaces are more resistant to corrosion and less prone to scratches and dents.
It is often applied in outdoor or well-ventilated areas such as
car porch,
balcony and
rooftop area to fight against weathering corrosion as well as because of its odor-releasing characteristics.
